It is very quite this Saturday morning at the marina, it rained last night, for a while, not to bad just a bit of running around closing the hatches or you will get dripped on. No updates at the moment, the fridge is working, the steel work is shining, but no canvas. The canvas guy showed up Thursday with a test fit for the bimini, soooo close but did not fit and back to the shop he goes, he is supposed to return today , I am not holding my breath. Maybe there were some updates. Well the fridge is back up and running perfect. So to rap up, we found the fridge dead around noon Saturday, by 4:00pm we had the Mexicolder guy here and he had a look. We arrange to get a controller to test (a ray of hope). Sunday morning the part is changed, no change ( all hope for a cheap repair died). That after noon we met with Mexicolder and he presented our options. Sunday spent getting our finances in order. Monday morning Mexicolder shows up to measure for the fridge.Tuesday morning he shows up , installs the fridge and we are working by noon. The new fridge system should be installed tomorrow morning. Between this and the ongoing projects my mind is going crazy and I am now having problems sleeping. The weather is great sunny and warm. The canvas guy was supposed to come today, still has not happened. after a morning and afternoon yesterday changing parts and watching hope die. We need a new fridge unit XXXX.xx’s USD. went out late yesterday and bought a camping cooler so we can save our huge Saturday shop. The fridge died, the guys looking at it now!!!!!! Good morning all, they finished the steel work yesterday and it looks great, now it is time to start harassing the canvas guy. Raining this morning, so I’m downloading our TV viewing for tonight. Steel guys arrived , hard at work and I’m happy. what a nice surprise and after the hurricane. We survived a wild night lots of wind, rain, thunder and lightning. No problems on Defiant, just a couple of small leaks. I hope this is the end of hurricane season. This is our first hurricane season where we were grazed by two hurricanes, each time it gets easier. There was other damage, a grocery stores giant sign fell down almost blocking a road, and a neighbor of ours lost two surf boards, later today I will go out and see what can be salvaged. |
